In his spare time, Jamal loves to play and watch basketball, football,
and golf. He has been born and raised in Los Angeles, so he is a die-hard fan of the Lakers and Dodgers. He has an addiction
to chai latte's, enjoys writing poetry as a stress-release, and loves to read books on self-improvement and the psychology
of the mind. Jamal plays basketball every morning at the Wooden Center and can be seen at Kerckhoff Coffee House
getting those latte's! He is currently completing his Masters in Embedded Computing Systems for biomedical applications.
Monica received her BA in Psychology from UC Berkeley. She received her MA from UCLA in the Graduate School of Education, and she is now a PhD student in Social Sciences and Comparative
Education, with an emphasis in Race and Ethnic Studies. Currently she is a Research Consultant for the Los Angeles County
Office of Education and GSA Vice President of External Affairs. Monica is originally from the city of Colton in the Inland Empire of Southern California.
Argus
returned to UCLA for graduate study after 8 years. During that time, he taught integrated science for Los Angeles Unified
School District and then worked in education internationally. A Los Angeles County native from the city of La Mirada,
Argus enjoys movies, snowboarding and runs competitively. Argus studies Biomedical Engineering with a focus in Biomechanics, Biomaterials,
and Tissue Engineering.
